What Could Go Wrong?
I put an infinite bunch of monkeys in a room,
Supplied with laptops and access to Zoom
I told them it would be nice to write a book,
Instead they posted nonsense on Facebook.
Lots of selfies, duck lips and to my shock,
They became viral influencers on TikTok.
They sang and danced, didn’t give a damn,
And gained a million followers on Instagram.
I heard a click, and then with sinking dread,
I saw my unmentionables posted to a thread.
Next, they made all these Mommy friends,
And crafted boards of hot Pinterest trends.
They got my credit card and I’ve lost track,
Of the Amazon packages I’ve sent back.
So, pulled the plug on all the technology,
And I think I owe the monkeys an apology.
