About GoRhyme : Poetry, Prose, Art and Music
Create to the Rhythm of You
Welcome to GoRhyme. This site was born out of a simple love and wonder of what we can create ex nihilo.
To me, this lovely creation is not just about arranging words on a page, paint on a canvas or notes in a song. It is a way that we bring into being a new way of seeing the world and showing this vision to others. Same process in poetry, prose and art.
More Than Just Rhymes
While our name is GoRhyme, our mission has expanded and developed. I built this little site as a homage to all of the arts:
- Poetry: For finding the perfect rhythm and structure.
- Prose: Telling the stories that spring new from the mind.
- Art: Seeing the world with fresh eyes and translating that for all to see.
- Music: The joy of creating a fresh song.
Why “GoRhyme”
I selected the name because it suggests action and movement, the joy and urge to create. It is a way, a commandment to go into the world and leave our mark.
My slogan, “Create to the Rhythm of You,” reflects this thought. Whether that rhythm is the meter of a poem, the words in a story, the stroke of a brush loaded in color or a fresh set of notes, we all have our own unique story to tell. I believe the best use of my life is to live it out fully and further the human goal of spreading that message: create.
Meet the Creator: Kelly Gray
My name is Kelly Gray. I am a lifelong creative with a background that spans the written word, visual arts, and community service.
While my heart is in creation, my professional background is in health and education. I am a Registered Nurse and a Special Education Teacher (M.Ed., K-6 Certification).
It might sound like an unusual combination, but this unique mix shapes every tool you see on this site:
- The Artist in me brings years of visual experience to tools like Museum Spark, helping you learn to look closer and find inspiration in color and composition. My particular joy is passing this vision on to children.
- The Writer in me ensures the prose and poetry tools respect the craft, offering complex forms like Villanelles for poets and narrative prompts for storytellers.
- The Educator in me ensures every tool is “scaffolded.” I use my background in special education to break down complex tasks into manageable steps, helping children and adults get past the anxiety of the blank page or to embrace musical exploration.
- The Community Nurse in me understands the emotional release of creativity. I strive to create tools that help us identify, process, and express what we truly feel.

Most importantly, I believe that creativity is for everyone, at every age, and capability. Whether you are here to write a sonnet, draft a chapter, sketch a masterpiece, or write a composition, you are welcome here.
Write on, Create on, Play on.
